Brake light on after stereo installed. *Gateway installed* Check CEL. DIAG: Diag: (Brake Warning Lamp Illuminated After Stereo Install) Scanned systems for trouble codes, no codes found stored. Data has recently been cleared, some data may not be available (Battery was likely disconnected during stereo installation). *Brake warning lamp and message are illuminated when brake pedal is not applied and goes away with small amount of brake pedal pressure applied – Note. *Checked brake pedal consistency, found brake pedal fades with continuous pressure applied. *Placed ECM in test mode to prompt potential trouble codes, found codes P0171 and P0174 "popped" for lean running conditions, bank 1 and bank 2. *Viewed live ABS system data, found brake switch relay signal is not being recognized by EBCM although brake lights are functioning. EBCM may not be recognizing brake switch signal. *Performed smoke test on intake system to check for potential vacuum leaks, no obvious leaks found. *Inspected master cylinder, check valve, pressure sensor and brake booster; found small amount of oil saturation surrounding master cylinder where cylinder mounts to booster, indicating master cylinder leakage. *Clamped off all brake lines to each wheel in effort to isolate any other possible cause for brake pedal fade, found brake pedal still fades with all other lines isolated. *Recommend replacement brake master cylinder prior to any further diagnosis, brake switch may also need replacement but cannot be condemned until brake master cylinder repairs are performed.. *Removed and replaced master cylinder and bled system; brake warning lamp is no longer illuminating. Placed vehicle in check mode again to prompt potential trouble codes, found P0171 and P0174 codes still coming back. Performed intake system smoke test to verify no vacuum leaks from recent repair, no vacuum found. ECM found to be compensating more than 40% of normal fuel delivery. REC Diag from Toyota dealership based on age of vehicle and nature of the issue.
